Vintage Otagiri Stoneware Casserole Dish with Lid Gray with Blue and Brown Tree Flower Design
This wonderful Otagiri casserole dish includes the casserole dish and lid. This ceramic dish is 3.5" tall at the rim (5.5" tall with the lid on) and 9.25" in diameter. The inner diameter of the casserole dish is 7.75". This piece is a grey stoneware with small brown flecks, created a speckled design. There is a hand painted blue and brown tree or flower design around the casserole and on the lid. The lid has one hole in it for venting. This dish is a thick, heavy stoneware weight over 4 pounds iteself.
This piece is in nice condition but it is not perfect. There is some heavy crazing on the bottom of the dish, and there looks to be a hairline crack along the bottom of the dish - it is very faint but is noticable. This line does not go up either side of the casserole.
