This oval platter by Independence Stonware is in the Taos pattern and is 13.75" long and 11.5" wide. It is a white stoneware with a brown wood grain design and a white fern or leafy branch on the plate. The backs are marked: INDEPENDENCE STONEWARE / BY INTERPACE / JAPAN.

The platter is in good condition, however there is a larger chip out of the back of the platter on the base - plesae see last 2 photos closely for details on this chip. The front of the platter has few surface scratches.
