Vintage California Cleminson Pottery DISTLEFINK Ceramic Butter Dish and Lid Bird Shaped Tan with Red Green Blue Floral Design 1950s
This ceramic butter dish is by California Cleminson and is in the Distlefink pattern. This pattern was made during the 1950s, and are bird shaped pieces made with a speckled tan ceramic and handpainted designs of green leaves and red wings. The butter dish consists of a an oval plate and the bird shaped lid. The plate is 6.25" long by 3.75" wide, and the lid is 6" long ad 4" tall. The bottom of the plate is marked: THE CALIFORNIA CLEMINSONS / HAND PAINTED.
The butter dish is in very nice condition with chips or cracks. There is crazing in the glaze on both pieces.
