Vintage German Silver Goblet Wine Glass Set of 6 Etched Flower Floral Design Nickel Silver
This set of 6 metal goblets are 7.25" tall and 3.5" in diameter. They are "German Silver" or Nickel SIlver - an alloy containing copper, zinc, and nickel. They contain no actual silver. The goblets have a great etched floral design around th outside of thw bowl, and a thin stem that lead to a wide round base. The bottom of the goblets are stamped: GERMAN SILVER.
The goblets are in nice condition but are tarnished due to age and are being sold with the original patina. Since there is no actual silver in these pieces, typical cleaning methods for silver do not work. However, I did test some Brasso on the base of one goblet and it does remove a substantial amount of the tarnish.
