Vintage Wicker Woven Duck Bird Basket Set of 2 Wooden Feathers Large and Small Pair Zhejiang Handicrafts
This set of 2 duck baskets includes a large and small basket in the same shape and style. The large basket is 13" long, 8" wide, and 11" tall with the handle. The smaller is 10" long, 6" wide, and 8.5" tall. They are both an oval shape and have tightly woven thin wicker pieces. The wings of the ducks are made of thin wooden slats that have been laquered together. The heads are nicely detailed with small wooden eyes and a large wooden bill. There is an original label on the bottom of the larger basket.
The baskets are in very nice condition but they is not perfect. There are no breaks or areas of loss in the wicker, but one of the wooden wing pieces on the larger basket is damaged. This piece has a section broken off as shown in in the last photo. This is on the back of the basket and is not highly visible.
