Vintage Otagiri HORIZON Salad Plates Set of 4 Gray Stoneware with Blue Brown Striped Bands
These stoneware plates by Otagiri are in the Horizon pattern and are the 8.5" Salad Plates. The plates are a gray stoneware with brown flecking, and have one blue and two brown bands around the rim. The bottom of one plate is marked: HAND CRAFTED / HORIZON / OVEN TO TABLE TO DSHWASHER / OTAGIRI / JAPAN,
All of the plates are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Three of the plates are darker and have heavier brown flecking in the plate - one plate is more white with less flecking. The bands are also slightly different on this one lighter plate - this one plate was made during a different production run or year than the other 3 plates. There are a few light scratches that are noticeable on this lighter plate as well - this is shown in detail in the last photo.
