Vintage Otagiri BITTERSWEET 10" Dinner Plate Set of 5 White Stoneware with Green Leaves and Red Berries
This set of 5 plates by Otagiri are in the Bittersweet pattern and are the dinner plates. Each plate is 9 7/8" in diameter and 1" high at the rim. They are a light gray stoneware with brown flecking, and a painted design of green leaves and red berries on the front of the plates. Four of the plates are not marked, and one does have a makers mark on the bottom - this plate is most like from a different production year than the other four.
All 5 plates are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some light surface scratches from use (but these are really quite minor), and there are some light scratches on the bottom sides of the rim that look like they are from dishwasher prong rubbing again the back side of the plate - this is shown in detail in the last photo. Great set of Bittersweet dinner plates!
