This set of 2 stoneware beer mugs or steins includes 2 tan/cream-colored mugs in coordinating styles and patterns. The mugs are thick, heavy stoneware pieces, and are 4.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter. They have a banded barrel design around the mug, and one mug is slightly darker than the other and has more brown flecking in the glaze. There are no makers marks on these pieces, but one is stamped 16 on the bottom. They are early stoneware pieces and are quite thick and heavy, and weigh over 1 pound each.
Both mugs are in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. These are rustic pieces and they do have imperfections in the surface of the ceramic from production. One has a spot of pitting in the glaze as shown in the last photo. Great set of old barrel mugs for your bar or man cave!
