This set of stoneware bottle includes 2 matching bottles in a dark rusty red/brown color. The bottles are each 9" tall and 4" in diameter at the widest point in middle. They have a narrow 1.25" neck and a 3/4" opening at the top. The bottles are smooth and have a thin etched line around the middle. There is a plastic and cork stopper in one of the bottles. There are no makers marks or labels on the bottles, but they are both stamped with a 6 on the side. These bottles are thick, heavy pieces and weight just over 2 pounds each.
Both bottles are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are imperfections in the finish here and here, includes a few glaze skips and blotchy areas in the thick red glaze.
