Vintage Cynthia Bringle Pottery Vase Small Planter Yellow with Textured Design
This wonderful vase or planter by Cynthia Bringle is 3.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter at the widest point. It is a white stoneware piece, and is coated with a yellow glaze on the outside, and a white glaze on the inside. The planter has a stamped, textured design of small lines. The bottom of the piece is signed: Bringle.
Born in Memphis in 1939 Cynthia Bringle is a significant potter/ceramist highly respected for her organic shaped works inspired by nature and Japan. She led the ceramics and pottery movement at the Penland School of Crafts Museum in North Carolina and her works are included in Museums around the country
The vase is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is one little rough spot along the inner rim where there is a small bubble in the glaze.
